O soul! What is preventing you from goodness?
What is preventing you from being of the righteous?
O soul! While Allah calls you to goodness, mercy, forgiveness and paradise,
Why instead do you choose the path of disobedience, sins, transgression and vice!
O soul! Know, that you were brought alone into this world and you shall leave it alone,
O soul and while in your grave, you shall remain ALONE.

And when the trumpets will sound and the earth made to split asunder,
You will be raised and will face Allah ALONE!
On the Judgment Day!
So then what shall you say?
When all of the sins you committed are brought before you in a record!
What excuses will you make?

O soul! Will this reminder not affect you and make you lower your head in shame?
Will it not encourage you to leave behind the countless sins you are committing, by night and by day?

O soul! Will you not turn in repentance to your Creator, Fashioner and Sustainer?

Will you not join the winners of both lives,
Who are obedient to Him,
Worship Him sincerely,
And who turn to Him day and night?

Or will you continue to be amongst the losers, who have no shame and do as they wish?
Who are even proud and boastful of the sins they commit?

O soul! Such evil and wickedness has one end,
It is the fire of hell and in it eternity you will spend!
O soul!Turn away from evil and the people of evil, return back to the path of goodness!
Time is ticking and soon it will be YOU,
Who after your name everyone is saying Inna lilahi wa inna ilahi raijoon!

Indeed! It is from Allah you came and it is to Him you shall return,
So decide now whether you want His Paradise to dwell in or His hellfire to burn!
Decide now, o soul! You are not promised tomorrow!
Forget tomorrow, O soul you are not even promised the next hour!!
